The watch has a fully signed 21-jewel automatic movement, calibre 784-2, which is working nicely. This calibre of movement was in production from 1967 until 1972 the serial number on this particular watch, 12,081,248, dates it back to 1970.
The watch measures 34mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The main body of the case is gold plated while the screw-on case back is stainless steel. The gold plate is in good condition. There is some scratching to the back of the watch. The inside of the case back is signed with the Tissot logo.
Signed Tissot winding crown although the plate has worn off the end.
The lens is in lovely condition.
The signed dial is in very nice condition with original hands, seconds sweep and a quick set date feature… this is an early form of quickset date where the hands are moved repeatedly backwards and forwards between 2am and 10[m until the desired date is reached.
The watch comes on a non-Tissot bracelet which currently fits an 18.5cm wrist although there is capacity on the clasp to make it around 2cm smaller.
The watch comes in a vintage presentation box. The box is tatty but still good to have.
