Gents Tissot Seastar automatic wrist watch, 1972
Gents Tissot Seastar automatic wrist watch.
The watch has a 20 jewel automatic movement, calibre 784-2, which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Tissot name and the serial number dates it back to 1972.
The watch measures 36mm wide excluding the winding crown and 35mm high excluding the lugs. The case is stainless steel and it is in good condition with just light surface marks, nothing serious at all. The inside of the screw-on case back is signed, as is the winding crown.
The lens is in lovely condition.
The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, seconds sweep and date display (an early quickset initially set by moving the hands repeatedly between midnight and 9.30pm until the desired date is reached).
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
