Gents Omega Seamaster De Ville wrist watch, 1963
A gents Omega Seamaster De Ville wrist watch, 1963.
The watch has an automatic movement, calibre 562, which is working nicely. The movement is signed and the serial number 20,681,962 dates it back to 1963.
The watch itself measures 34mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is gold capped which means that a generous layer of 14k gold has been applied to the front of the case and the bezel is solid 14k gold. There are a few minor marks to the case but nothing too detrimental. The case back has the raised Seamaster logo. The winding crown has the Omega logo.
The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial is in its original finish. There is a little marking if viewed closely. Original hands, centre seconds with red detail and an early form of quickset date which is set by moving the hands repeatedly backwards and forwards between 12 midnight and 9pm until the desired date is reached.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
