Gents Omega Seamaster De Ville automatic watch
A gents Omega Seamaster De Ville automatic wrist watch, 1965.
The watch has a calibre 671 movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 22,178,913 dates it back to 1965.
The watch itself measures 31.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs so it is the mid-size. The case is gold capped which means a generous layer of 14k gold has been applied to the front and sides of the case and the bezel is solid 14k gold. It was said that the gold capping was so thick that it could hold its shape when not fitted to the case and apparently the salesman used to carry a sample of just the gold capping to demonstrate how strong it was. The case is in good condition and it has the Omega logo to the winding crown, and the Seamaster logo to the back.
The inside of the case back has the Omega triangular stamp, together with the case reference 165.004 which is correct for the calibre 671 movement.
The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, centre seconds hand and outer minute markers.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box. ALL PRICES INCLUDE UK POSTAGE (excluding Northern Ireland).
Please contact us before placing international orders so that we can advise of shipping prices and to see if customs regulations allow us to post watches to your country.
The international buyer is responsible for paying any import duties and taxes.
All of our watches are checked over before listing, and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch.
We are a VAT registered company and all purchases are covered by Consumer Regulations.
Credit / debit card purchases can be made over the telephone on 01386 750238 or you can proceed via the \'Buy Securely\' button on each listing page.
We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
