Gents Omega Seamaster bumper automatic wrist watch

Gents Omega Seamaster bumper automatic wrist watch.
UK POSTAGE ONLY FOR THIS ITEM
The watch has a 17-jewel bumper automatic movement, calibre 332, which is working nicely.
Early automatic movements such as this one relied on the rotor ‘bumping’ backwards and forwards between two springs to maintain the power within the movement. Later automatic watches have the fully rotational rotor.
The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 12,250,085 which dates it back to 1950.
The watch measures 36mm diameter excluding the later winding crown and the lugs. The case is rose gold filled, a generous 80 microns thickness. The condition looks good to the naked eye. On closer inspection there is some rubbing around the bezel and some general light surface marking.
The stainless steel screw-on case back is signed inside with the Omega logo, and also the case reference 2493-3 which is correct for the calibre 332.
The lens is in lovely condition.
The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, subsidiary seconds and inner minute markers. There is some age related marking across the dial.
The watch comes on a later leather strap with an after market Omega buckle.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
ALL PRICES INCLUDE UK POSTAGE (excluding Northern Ireland).
Please contact us before placing international orders so that we can advise of shipping prices and to see if customs regulations allow us to post watches to your country.
The international buyer is responsible for paying any import duties and taxes.
All of our watches are checked over before listing, and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch.
We are a VAT registered company and all purchases are covered by Consumer Regulations.
Credit / debit card purchases can be made over the telephone on 01386 750238 or you can proceed via the \'Buy Securely\' button on each listing page.
We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
