Gents Longines wristwatch, 1961
A gents Longines wrist watch, 1961.
The watch has a good quality 17-jewel hand-winding movement, calibre 280, which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Longines name and the serial number 11,541,212 dates it back to 1961.
The watch itself measures 34mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is stainless steel and it is in good condition, just two or three scratches to the edge of the case back. The screw-on case back is signed with the Longines name on both the inside and the outside. It also states that the watch is waterproof but, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water.
The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial has light marks but not too noticeable at all to the naked eye. Although the number markers are gold in colour, the hands are silver which suggests that they are replacements although they are of the correct age and design for the watch.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box. ALL PRICES INCLUDE UK POSTAGE (excluding Northern Ireland).
