Gents good sized Tissot Seastar automatic watch
Gents Tissot Seastar automatic wrist watch, 1971.
The watch has a 21-jewel automatic movement, calibre 784-2, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 13,304,425 which dates it back to 1971.
The watch measures 38mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is stainless steel and it is in good condition, just the odd minor mark and some fairly light scratching to the back where a tool has slipped in the past. The inside of the case back is signed with the Tissot name.
The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, seconds sweep and quickset date (initially set by winding the hands backwards and forwards between 12 midnight and 9pm until the desired date is reached). There is some marking to the dial, mostly fairly light, and perhaps a shade or two of darkening.
The watch comes on a stainless steel mesh Tissot bracelet which fits an 18.5cm wrist although there is capacity on the clasp to make it around 2cm smaller. There are a couple of small marks to the clasp.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
