Gents 9 carat gold Certina wristwatch
Gents 9 carat gold Certina wristwatch.
The watch has a hand-winding movement, 17 jewel 28-10 calibre, which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Certina name.
The watch itself measures 34mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for London 1965. The back of the watch has an engraving from Royles dated 1977… we see date discrepancies such as this quite often when a large company such as Royles is involved as they tended to buy gold watches in bulk (presumably for attractive discounts) and then have them engraved for presentation as and when required. The case has light surface marks but overall is in good condition.
The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial is in good original condition with original hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.
A later leather strap has been fitted.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box. ALL PRICES INCLUDE UK POSTAGE (excluding Northern Ireland).
