The watch has an automatic 24-jewel movement, calibre 564, adjusted in five positions and temperature, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number
30,327,392 dates it back to 1970.
The watch measures 35mm wide excluding the winding crown and 32.5mm high excluding the lugs. The case is gold capped which means a generous layer of 14k gold has been applied to the front and sides of the case and the bezel is solid 14k gold. It was said that the gold capping was so thick that it could hold its shape when not fitted to the case and apparently the salesman used to carry a sample of just the gold capping to demonstrate how strong it was.
The back of the watch has the gold Geneva Observatory logo, while the eight stars represent two world records for precision, in 1933 and 1936, and the six “wristwatch-sized” contests won between 1945 and 1952. The inside of the case back has the Omega logo and the case reference CD 168 017 which is correctly for the calibre 564 movement.
The case is in good condition, just light surface marks, nothing too serious at all.

The lens has the tiny clear Omega logo to the centre. Short light marks to the edge of the lens, next to the winding crown, but not very noticeable to the naked eye.
The signed dial is in its original finish with a subtle textured appearance. Original hands, seconds sweep and quickset date display (repeated pulling and pushing of the crown).
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
