A gents early 1960s Smiths Astral wrist watch, made in England.
The watch has a 15-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely.
The watch itself measures 31.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs so it would suit a man with a slim wrist. The case is gold plated with a stainless steel case back. There is some rubbing to the plate, mainly on the ends of the lugs, and a few fairly light surface scratches to the back.
The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial has darkened a little with age but overall is very acceptable for a piece from the early 1960s. The Smiths Astral was introduced in 1959 and the script tells us that it was manufactured before 1964.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box. ALL PRICES INCLUDE UK POSTAGE (excluding Northern Ireland).
