The watch has a good quality 30-jewel automatic movement, the Felsa 692 (Bidynator), which is working nicely.
Early automatic watches had been powered with bumper movements. Rolex subsequently developed a full rotor system where the rotor moved in one direction - this movement was protected by a patent. Felsa subsequently developed an automatic movement where the rotor moved in both directions and this bi-directional was duly named the Bidynator.
The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is gold plated and overall is in good condition for a 50s piece with just minor surface marking. The screw-on case back states that the watch is waterproof but, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water and moisture.
The lens is in good condition.
The dial is signed Herbury, so probably a private label piece as we can find no record of the brand name Herbury being registered. The dial is in its original finish with original hands, centre seconds hand and date display (not quickset).
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
