Very comfortable Siesta lounge chair, designed by VB Wilkins for E Gomme (later to become G Plan). Produced in 1956 and designed to give support from the nape of the neck to the back of the knees, having a curved shape within the frame. Newly upholstered including the foam inserts, to meet all current fire regulations. The frame is made of mixed hard woods and has been stripped and oiled. In really good condition, no loose joints. 80cmH x 66cmW x 90cmD Our stock items are carefully selected by myself and I only buy good quality items which may need small repairs, a clean and a polish. I don't buy any items that need major restoration, but any loose joints are re-glued. Occasionally, some items may have small amounts of historic extinct woodworm, never enough to affect the integrity of the item, and is always treated as a matter of course. We try to describe and show our items the best we can, and we use studio lighting which sometimes lightens the colour slightly on some of the furniture. All lamps are rewired and PAT tested. Every item we sell we would have in our home (some of them have been!!) It is impossible to describe every item fully, so please feel free to email or call for more information or any queries you may have. The items will have no major defects but will show signs of normal age related wear and use. I would prefer the items to show its life rather than strip it and re-polish it, as it's only original once!
