Fontana of Exeter Victorian Mercury Barometer
A Victorian period mercury wheel barometer. A mahogany case with a swan neck pediment and original brass central finial. A hygrometer, thermometer, mirror, main dial and level. The level is engraved by maker 'FONTANA EXETER'. Circa 1845.
Fontana of Exeter is recorded in Banfields 'Barometer Makers and Retailers' book as working from 1840-1860. He is noted as working in Cowick Street.
