A fine Regency rosewood tea caddy of sarophagus shape with wooden ring handles. The caddy stands on bun feet and has gilt escutcheon, with the lid raising to a beaded top. The rosewood is of the most wonderful figuring and colour. The interior retains the original twin compartments and aperture with glass mixing bowl, with the original fabric lining to the lid. The whole in excellent condition with working key. C.1830
