FINE mid 18th century Cuban mahogany deed or document box. Very nicely moulded fielded type deisgn to every surface. Moulded quarter columns to the corners. Typical 18th century moulding round the top and base. Very nice original gilded brass roccoco style handle and escution plate. Original brass lock and key.

Has a spring type lock that locks every time the lid is closed.

Fabulous un-touched colour and patination only acheived from years of waxing. One of the nicest deed boxes from this period I have seen for quite some time.
