Elm Bench, Solid Elm Retro 60 Design Coffee Table

Elm Bench, Solid Elm Retro 60 Design Coffee Table
This is a very attractive piece of Chain Saw carved antique furniture it is an Elm Bench or seat carved from one solid trunk of Elm. There are no joints or any other fabrication in this piece
The bench has been formed from a fine piece of well figured elm I would think that it was made around 1960 or so because of the abundance of elm at this time and it does have a very stylish look even though the direction of the wood grain must have affected the final out come
The bench is in excellent condition, the top is not symmetrical nor are the legs but it is very sturdy and does not wobble
As far as understand the history of this piece it was made in the New Forest
The bench stands 19” high, it is 65” long and 12” deep, the seat is about 2.5” thick
