Edwardian Silver Fob, Herbert Bushell & Son, 1910

This is a good size Edwardian Sterling Silver Fob for attaching to a watch chain. It is shield shaped with a raised central shield cartouche on both sides of the fob. Neither of the cartouches has any initials or personalisation.
The fob is made in Birmingham by Herbert Bushell & Son Ltd and dates to 1910, the last year of the Edwardian period. Starting out in the 1890s, Herbert Bushell was joined in partnership by his son in 1910. They are best known for their good quality watch fobs and remained in business together until the start of the First World War.
Condition is very good with no dings or dents and just the superficial surface wear that you would expect after over 110 years. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The fob is 3.5cm / 1.4ins from top to bottom and 2.3cm / 0.9ins wide. It weighs a respectable 8.1g / 0.29oz of solid Sterling Silver.
The hallmarks on the bottom of one side of the fob are well struck and clear to read. They show the lion passant for Sterling Silver, the anchor assay mark for Birmingham, the date letter l for 1910 and the HB & S makers' mark for Herbert Bushell & Son Ltd.
Shipping in the UK is £4 by Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For.
