This is an exquisite Edwardian tea caddy with profusely inlaid floral motifs that include roses, snow drops, thistles, etc. The motifs encircle the whole of the box, including the back. Most of the flowers are made from different woods, stained slight different colours to give the bouquets variation and visual interest. The interior has two receptacles for tea and the centre is for the sugar bowl which is a replacement. The craftsmanship is extraordinary on this tea caddy and it is lovely to look at. The key is original and quite ornate and the lock is working.
