A very decorative and high quality, Edwardian period mahogany writing table. This has four drawers, all are crossbanded in satinwood and have their original brass handles, two have working locks, there is further decorative satinwood inlay across the top of the front. The table stands on finely turned legs, the top has an inset, well tooled, green leather. It has a generously sized kneehole allowing for easy working. This table is in excellent strong condition with a fine original colour and polished surface. Sizes: 42”(107cms) wide, 20”(51cms) deep, 29”(74cms) high. Kneehole height: 24 ½ (63cms) I have reluctantly decided that after 60 years spent in this marvellous business it is, figuratively speaking, time to hang up my cheque book. I have therefore made considerable reductions to the prices of most of my stock. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if any items are of interest. Deliveries carried at as normal. In the early 1970’s I moved to Hertfordshire where I opened my own business and created a limited company.
