Edwardian Travel Trunk. With a famous past.
Beautiful Edwardian Gentleman's travelling trunk in super original condition , which has once upon a time travelled the globe many times over , and onboard perhaps some of the most famous ships from the early 20th Century. This lovely item once belonged to Mr 'George Frederick Tweedy' , the chairman of the all conquering ship yard 'Swan Hunters Ltd' Newcastle upon Tyne. Who were responsible for building some of the most famous luxury liners of the 20th century, including the 'RMS Mauretania 'and of course the 'RMS Carpathia' which came to the aid of the survivors from the 'RMS Titanic'.. This is a charming looking item with a fascinating past that can't be replicated, and in such superb well preserved and most complete condition . Just magical . If it could only talk of its well travelled exploits and experiences across the globe.
