Educational Lithograph Pregnancy Poster
The large sized lithograph mounted on linen canvas with lightweight aluminium dowels, depicts the nine-month pregnancy phase, illustrating in graphical detail the stages in positioning of the infant in the womb prior to birth.
The learning plate, numbered 9753, is in good overall order with the colours vivid and very little in the way of creasing or stains. Hanging on good quality dowels, it can be transported easily and was of course used as teaching aids in European medical universities.
Founded in 1912, The German Hygiene Museum (Deutsches Hygiene-Museum) is a museum in Dresden, Germany, now a "forum for science, culture and society", with around 300,000 visitors per year.
A highly collectable piece of design where simplicity is key in providing an overall impact both in educational, and decorative terms.
