Early 19thC Rosewood Apothecary Box
A superb rosewood apothecary box with a fitted interior containing 16 bottles to the top, some with labels.
The drawer below contains 4 bottles of powders, a glass pestle and mortar, small measuring jug, two pill glasses and sales and weights.
The lid has a label inside for Clay & Abraham Chemists, 87 Bold Street, Liverpool who traded from 1839 to 1920.
The is an exact same apothecary box on display at the Liverpool Science Museum.
Good condition.
Most bottle lids are stuck fast.
One bottle lid is broken. No bottles are broken.
The case is in excellent condition, some slight scratches but nothing detrimental.
There is no key.
