Earls of the Realm & Churchill Family Indenture dated 1785. The Indenture (Quinquepartie) between The Right Hnourable George, Earl of Coventry, The Right Honourable Francis, Earl of Guilford of the first part The Right Honourable John, Earl of Upper Ossory, of Ireland, Sir James Peachey of West Dean, Baronet, and the Honourable Charles Francis Grenville Esq., of the second part The Right Honourable George, Earl of Warwick Castle and Earl of Warwick of the third part William Churchill of Henbury in the county of Dorset, Esquire of the fourth part Henry Churchill of Henbury,of the fifth part.
Henry Churchill paid into the Trust £5,000.00 for the 1000 year lease of parcels of ground within the City of London and the Country of Middlesex, and streets formerly known as Holborn, Brook-Street, White Hart Street and where Brook House formerly stood. All of the Messuages, Tenements, Shops, Erections and Buildings having an rental income of £450.00., and so on.
The Indenture is a true Copy of the original Deed, examined by W. Whitman of Lyons Inns and Thomas Dunn of Scotland Yard (Chancery in 1775).
