For sale today we have this Truly Striking Royal Doulton Lambeth Vase designed by Mark V Marshall. Decorated in a late Art Nouveau style using the pigment brush technique, the baluster form vase features a highly stylised design of flowing purple leaves topped with sandy yellow buds set against a mottled white ground.

The vase stands 21 cm tall x 14 cm dia. Stamped Royal Doulton Lambeth mark along with numbers 8234-artist mark AL for Annie Lyons. Please see Catalogue of an Exhibition of Doulton Stoneware and Terracotta 1870-1925, Part 1. London: Richard Dennis 1971, no. 541 for a vase in this shape and pattern. There noted as after a design by Mark V. Marshall and dating to circa 1922.
