Don Quixote, 4 Vol. Leather-Bound Set 1820
The Life and Adventures of Don Quixote de la Manche. A new edition with engravings from designs by Richard Westall. Complete in 4 volumes.
Printed for Hurst, Robinson, and Co. 1820.
Overall in poor condition and in need of repair. The leather bindings are original but are badly damaged. The front boards of volume one and two is detached but present, as is the second front endpaper of volume one. There is a piece missing from the spine of volume two - this is present inside the book. The bindings are badly scuffed and worn around the edges and have some losses. There is some marking to the endpapers, which look to have had something (possibly bookplates) removed at some point. There is some tanning to the pages and some scattered foxing (brown spotting) internally. Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
We can arrange delivery of both smaller items and furniture - please contact us for details and a quote. Customers are also welcome to use their own couriers if preferred.
Payment can be made by PayPal, bank transfer, cheque [UK only], and cash on collection.
