Cyma Early 1950s British Military Watch
We are very pleased to be able to offer this very nice early 1950s era Cyma military wristwatch.
This black dialed watch has an outer chapter/minute and hour hand marked with fluorescent radium, an inner chapter marked with Arabic numerals and a subsidiary second hand dial. The face is signed CYMA and carries the British military arrow. The face sits bellow a good but lightly scratched perspex crystal. The 15 jewel movement is signed CYMA and is encapsulated within a stainless steel screw back case. The back of the watch is marked with the British military arrow, over WWW, which is in turn over the serial No P5382, which in turn sits over the serial number10382. The inside of the back carries identical markings. Removal of the back reveals that the watch has its original inner dust cover.
This watch is a large military Cyma measures just over 1 & 1/2 inches (4cm) in diameter including the crown and is presented on an old (possibly 1960s/70s) replacement black leather strap.
The watch is in an excellent condition for an early 1950s military watch, although the stainless steel case does carry some light scratching and the face and luminous markings do show some signs of age.
