A cylinder musical box by PVF (Paillard Vaucher Fils) of Ste. Croix, Switzerland, serial number 14071 playing 8 airs as per original tune sheet, Circa 1880. 33cm/13 inch cylinder of 'Mandoline Expressive Zither' format. Case veneered with Walnut, tulipwood cross banding and boxwood stringing. Inner glazed lid with pewter string line. Geometric inlay decoration. Gilt brass carrying handles (decorative use only).
