A hand painted lead tobacco box commemorating the Crimean War in 1865. Each side with a relief design that is hand painted. The lid has a recumbent lion for a handle . This has been re soldered on.
On the lid are the names of four of the battles: Balaclava, Inkerman, Alma and Sebastopol. There is a tamper lid. On the base is a Registration mark for 1865.
