Cotswold School Smoker's Bow Armchair
This armchair dates from the mid-twentieth century, although it is older in style. We believe it to be a Cotswold School arts & crafts piece, although there are no maker's marks. It is constructed from solid beech and elm with a shaped seat, turned spindles and turned rounded legs with an H-stretcher.
Condition: The approx. measurements are as follows:Overall this attractive piece is in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some movement in the joints. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and some shrinkage cracking in places. The piece is overall a little faded. There are some signs of repair - there is a more modern screw from the top into one of the back legs.
Overall - 79cm high, 60cm wide, 50cm deep (to maximums) 44.6cm high to seat. Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
We can arrange delivery of both smaller items and furniture - please contact us for details and a quote. Customers are also welcome to use their own couriers if preferred.
Payment can be made by PayPal, bank transfer, cheque [UK only], and cash on collection.
