An amazingly well preserved correspondence box, made around 1900. It is a unique survivor of over 100 years, has no rips, abrasions or over cleaning. The hinged lid with a flush handle and a unique lock opens to a fall front with divisions for storage and 2 aide-memoire. This further folds, opening to reveal a writing slope with a hinged compartment.
