Pretty 19th century Coalport cup and saucer of slightly waisted form with entwined handle, c.1845. Fine gilded decoration, inside and out, both pieces marked with pattern number 4 over 769 in gilt and the saucer with impressed cross mark also.

The saucer measures 14.3cm (5 5/8") wide and 2.5cm (1") high. The cup measures 6.2cm (2 3/8") high, 9.2cm (3 5/8") rim to rim and 12cm (4 3/4") rim to handle, a very practical size for use. Condition is very good with no damage or restoration. A little wear to the gilding on the saucer rim in places very light wear otherwise. A small section of wear to the gilding on the cup to the right of the handle but again otherwise wear is minimal. Both have a small firing fault to the foot mentioned for completeness. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
