Circa 1870 and later. An elegant bronze Chinese gong on stand, the hardwood stand with arched top with ribbed facing. The circular gong is suspended on chains, and has a tapering body and a large rondel domed section to the front. Beneath the gong there is a large solid wood beater and the stand rests on two trestle feet with shaped buttress’s the uprights for style and stability.
