A lovely pair of steel snippers, used for cutting the wire holding the cork in a champagne bottle. On the end of the handle is a brush to remove any bits that are around the neck of the bottle, to prevent them contaminating the champagne. There is also a serated end to the handle used for cutting the foil.
Overall it measures 7.5 inches or 19cms.
They date from the late Victorian / Edwardian period.
