Impressive Edwardian era cased taxidermy cormorant by J. Mountney of Cardiff c.1910. A fine specimen and superb naturalistic taxidermy, posed stood on a rock amongst grasses in the process of swallowing a small brown trout. Presented in the original case, glazed on three sides with a label (damaged) to the interior for the taxidermists J Mountney of 42 Royal Arcade Cardiff. Mountney’s work can be found in the city’s National Museum. Excellent original condition.
