Dating to around 1900, this is a really super and highly sought-after wooden chess set, I believe based on the French Regency or Regence design turned and carved in Boxwood & Ebony.

The complete set remains in really excellent condition with minor wear commensurate with age and comes with it's wooden storage box. The king measuring 3" and the storage box measuring 7 1/4" x 4" x 2 3/4" tall.
