Carved Oak Tapestry Sewing Box Work Table
A lovely oak work table. We date this table to the second half of the 20th century.
The table stands on four turned legs with base stretchers.
The table has a back hinged lid with a safety chain to the right that opens to a large storage area, the lid has a floral tapestry insert with a glass top.
There is a drawer at each side of the table below the storage area and carvings that run across the bottom of the table front.
The table has a height of 24.5" (62cm) with a width of 38.5" (97cm) and a depth of 16" (41cm).
This lovely work table remains in very good solid condition with only minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There is some minor wear to some edges but primarily to the front right hand side corner as can be seen in the pictures.
This remains a very stylish and elegant work table. It will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
