Campione Oxford Georgian Stick Barometer
A quality Georgian mercury stick barometer. An architectural pediment with the original central brass finial. A mahogany case with choice matched veneers and banded chequered edging. The original cistern cover to the base. A well engraved silvered dial with slide adjustment indicator and mercury thermometer. Circa 1810.
Campione of Oxford is recorded in Banfields' 'Barometer Makers and Retailers' book as working from 1760 - 1820.
Height 39 " / 99 cms Width 5 " / 13 cms Depth 2 1/2" / 7 cms.
