Burr Walnut & Brass Decanter Set with Bramah lock
For sale, an exquisite late Victorian Burr Walnut and Brass Decanter set complete with Bramah lock and original key. Circa 1880.
The box is constructed from beautifully figured burr walnut with brass strapping, un-engraved central inlay and sumptuous blue velvet lining. The interior contains three modestly and surprisingly modern cut glass decanters with silver plate lids and cork stoppers.
All complete with original Bramah lock and key, indicative of a refined piece which would have been retailed at the highest level in its period. The lock is marked, “BRAMAH, PATENT, LONDON”.
The corks and the attaching screws have been replaced with 316 hygiene grade stainless steel in order to bring this superb set back into functional use and is ready for three pints of your favourite tipple!
