Beaver & Tapley Multi-Width Petite Glazed Bookcase
Glazed Vintage Bookcase
A simple and elegant mid century modern bookcase with 2 sets of sliding glass doors. Made by Beaver and Tapley as part of their 'Multi-Width' range, this is a petite cabinet in lovely medium-toned wood. The top section has an adjustable shelf resting on original brass supports and a shelf at the bottom. Underneath is a second section, also glazed there are 3 horizontal surfaces plus the top in total. The cabinet rests on original solid wood legs and is beautifully made.
The cabinet has been fully restored the original dark finish has been removed to reveal the warm colour of the mahogany-type wood underneath. It has been oiled and finished with protective wax. There are minimal signs of use the wood has some tiny veneer chips on the side at the base, and there are scratches on the reverse. The original glass has a small chip (see last picture). The original 'Multi-Width' label remains. Please examine the photographs and feel free to ask us any questions, or request more pictures.
