Artist Biography
Robert Chailloux was born in Paris on the 23rd April 1913.He studied fine art at the Parisien Academy,and in his initial career painted in watercolours,especially elegant architectural studies.He was persuaded by his tutors to concentrate on still-life painting,and it was in this field that he made his name.Chailloux has won many prestigious prizes and awards,including Gold Medals at the Salon des Artistes Francais,the Salon de L???Art Libre and the Salon Violetthe Prix du Comite at the Salon D???Hiver.Several of Chailloux???s paintings can be viewed at the Museum of Fine Arts,Paris.
