A very stylish Box in figured walnut, of classic Art Deco appearance. The grain of the walnut is absolutely beautiful and a shield showing the St George's Cross is etched in the centre of the lid. Although looking as though it could have been used as a cigarette box, the original fabric lining suggests it was more likely used as a jewellery casket.
