This beautiful piece started life as a dressing table but has been restored as a sideboard. Designed by Peter Hayward for Uniflex in 1959, the sideboard is veneered in sapele wood, with a lovely chevron pattern on the top drawer which almost looks 3-dimensional and gives it its Art Deco feel. The cupboards are slanted, giving it its bow front. The black tapered legs are made of plastic and brass. The piece has 2 cupboards, each with a removable internal shelf, and 3 drawers with dovetail joints.

The unit has been restored with the wood taken back to bare, oiled and finished with protective polish. There are some marks, chips and repairs to the veneer, and wear to the brass handles, but overall the piece is in good vintage condition.
