A good quality Art Deco oak chest of drawers dating from circa 1940 by Harris Lebus. Comprising 4 drawers with ornate metal handles it has wonderfully figured drawer fronts and stands on style feet. The drawer fronts are in a beautifully figured quarter sawn oak, the sides and top in oak veneered plywood. A really nice piece, good colour and patina and of a very useful size. The back is stamped with the HL monogram for Harris Lebus (handles also stamped) and also the “two cheese” marks the logo for the Utility Furniture Advisory Committee of 1942.

Good age and patina. Handles are nicely aged and tarnished.
