Antique Winegartens pocket watch
Antique Winegartens pocket watch.
The watch has a 15-jewel Swiss stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement has been identified as being by the movement manufacturer Cortebert for Winegartens.
The watch measures 46mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the loop. The case was made by the Dennison Watch Case Company, a prolific manufacturer of cases for various watch makers. The front and sides of the case are in good condition while the case back has some unevenness.
The acrylic lens is in good condition.
The dial is signed with the Winegartens name and address. The company was listed as a watchmaker, jeweller and diamond merchant of Bishopsgate, London. The dial is in its original finish with original hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
