Antique Waltham pocket watch, 1899
Antique Waltham pocket watch, 1899.
The watch has a seven jewel stem-winding movement, grade 610, which is working nicely. The movement has beautifully patterned plates, and it is fully signed and has the serial number
8826487 which dates it back to 1899. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold filled and was made by the Dennison Watch Case Company, the company provided most of the cases for Waltham UK. The case some minor marking, and a shallow indentation to the back of the watch. The inside of the case back has the names of two previous owners lightly scratched on it.
The acrylic lens is in nice condition, some reflection showing in the photos.
The signed dial is in good condition, just a short faint hairline underneath the subsidiary seconds dial. Blued steel hands.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
