A rare, slim original antique Victorian mahogany bookcase. This was made in England, it dates from the 1860-80’s.

It has very slim design and takes up very little floor space, while offering plenty of storage space inside. This sits on a plinth base and has a lovely overhanging cornice. The top and lower section have finely carved corbels, and both upper and lower sections come with separate keys.

We have had this recently re-polished, it is in lovely condition for its age, with various very small marks and indentations beneath the polish, commensurate for age. The top and also the cornice lift off, this comes apart in three sections for ease of transport.
