Antique Turkish pot
An antique Turkish terracotta storage pot , these were used to store preserved fruit olives and olive oil .it has a wire round the neck with a lead seal as they all do the seal from a Turkish museum stating that it is over a hundred years old but not of historical importance to turkey and therefore allowed to be exported, this one has a wooden plug low down indicating that it stored oil. A great addition to a house or garden.
