Here we have a really lovely quality antique rosewood Tunbridge Ware sewing box with the hinged lid beautifully decorated with Eridge Castle surrounded by a border of flowers, the lid lifts to reveal a fitted lift out interior with section for sewing items and a mirror which has a fine border of Tunbridge ware decoration running around it.
The lower part of the box has a similar band of flowers running all the way round, there is the original working lock and key and the key hole is decorated with a geometric Tunbridge ware pattern.
