The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is all protected by an inner hinged dust cover which has a small indentation.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the two back covers for London (import mark), 1919 with an importer's mark for George Stockwell.
From 1 June 1907, Stockwells acted as assay agents, facilitating the import into Britain of foreign gold and silver items which had to be assayed and hallmarked in a UK assay office before being released for retail.
Overall the case is in good condition. There is a very slight unevenness to the hinged case back and the odd little mark but nothing too detrimental at all.
The watch glass is in lovely condition, and it has a nice thick bevelled edge.
The dial is in lovely condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial (which has darkened with age) and an outer minute track.
The watch comes with an antique 1918 silver double albert. Each chain measures 22cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. There is also a silver and enamel fob from Totton & District Darts League, hallmarked for 1937.
