This is an antique stick barometer. An English, mahogany barometer by renowned maker Charles Howarth of Halifax and dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1850.

Select cuts of mahogany and boxwood inlay displays a desirable aged patina
Good consistent colour throughout and fine grain interest
Original papered scale in good order
Marked as 'Charles - Halifax - Howarth'

Conditions annotated in large print, with graduated scale alongside the mercury tube
